CSW Safety Services is the new name for Colorado Strijpe Wright and American Barricade Rental, following the recent acquisition by Axiom Equity Partners. The company was originally founded in 1984 as the pavement striping company Strijpe Wright by Jacob and Janet Tisdall The “j” in Strijpe can be attributed to Jake and Janet’s Swedish heritage and is the Swedish spelling of stripe. The “w” in Wright was to differentiate our company from other companies using the word “right” or “rite” and comes from an Old English word meaning worker or maker.
In 1989 property was purchased at the corner of 36th St. and Delgany St., adjacent to the offices and shops we call home presently. The original house in which the office was located was a very small house built in the mid-40’s. In 1995, we purchased the building where our offices are presently located at 3537 Delgany St. The success of the two companies required further expansion when we bought a maintenance shop at 3601 Delgany St. in 1999.
Our traffic control division, American Barricade Rental, was created in 1987 to provide signing and barricade rental along with traffic control personnel to the heavy / highway construction industry in Colorado.
Today, CSW Safety Services is the leader in the pavement marking and traffic control industries in the Rocky Mountain region.
