Safety
Safety is Our Number One Priority
CSW Safety Services is committed to maintaining a safe working environment for all our employees and the clients whom we serve. We comply with all applicable safety and security laws and regulations, such as those established by DOT, EPA, OSHA and all other federal, state and local safety and health agencies. CSW makes every effort to assure all our employees follow accepted safe practices.
We believe that the safety of our employees is of utmost importance and helps drive the quality of our service, the productivity of our employees, and the profitability of the company. Maintenance of safe operating procedures at all times is of both monetary and human value, with the human value being far greater to the employer, the employee, and the community. Therefore we are guided by the following safety principles:
- The prevention of bodily (lost-time) injury and safeguarding of health are the first considerations in all workplace activities and are the responsibility of every employee at every level.
- All injuries and accidents are preventable through the establishment and compliance of safe work procedures.
- Written safety programs describing the safe work practices and procedures to be followed in all workplace activities are an essential element of the overall workplace safety program.
There is no project or job that can justify the willful performance of unsafe actions or the taking of unnecessary risks. Safety will be part of every undertaking. Each employee is responsible for his / her actions and will be held accountable for them.
The safety philosophy of CSW Safety Services reflects and communicates our proactive corporate attitude toward safety. At all times we aim to achieve the following specific objectives:
- To prevent accidents and personal injuries & illnesses
- Eliminate damage to equipment & property
- To provide a program of safety consistent with good construction practices
- To pre-plan safety into the work to be performed on each project - such pre-planning will require the identification of present and future hazardous conditions
- To provide a uniform policy of safety management consistent with the requirements of OSHA, DOT, Owners, and our Insurance Carriers
- To provide assignment of specific responsibilities for effective enforcement and control of safety programs
- To provide a means of continuing development and updating of safety education and training
CSW Safety Services employs a Safety Coordinator or Manager to implement and review the occupational health and safety as well as driver and fleet management policies.
